Lee Jun-Ki and IU TV drama Scarlet Heart Goryeo could be sold for a very high fee to China

Lee Jun-Ki and IU TV drama Scarlet Heart Goryeo (aka Moonlovers) will be broadcast on August 29, 2016 on SBS TV Channel in South-Korea. Kang Haneul, Nam Joo-hyuk, Hong Jong-hyun, Ji-soo, EXO Baekhyun, Kim San-ho and Yoon Sun-woo are also have a role in the Korean remake of Chinese TV drama Bu Bu Jing Xin.

There are rumors saying Korean TV drama Scarlet Heart Goryeo broadcasting rights have been sold to China for 400.000 US Dollar for each episode. This makes Scarlet Heart Goryeo one of the highest fee ever paid for a Korean TV drama. There are 20 episodes, this means a Chinese network has to pay 8 million US Dollar for all the episodes of Scarlet Heart Goryeo.

That´s why more and more Korean TV drama´s are 100% pre-produced, the Chinese network companies are willing to pay that much money for broadcasting rights of TV drama´s with a popular casts. The highest fee ever paid for a Korean TV drama could be the recently announced TV Drama Legend of the Blue Sea starring Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji-hyun. Rumors say a Chinese company wants to buy the broadcasting rights for 500.000 US Dollar for each episode.
